Generic Manifesto

The 'genericmanifesto' was a pop-up concept shop that took place in a 2000 square foot raw warehouse at Space 1520 in Hollywood, California from June 6 to July 10 2009.

The build out was done 100% in cardboard including a ‘case study shoe box’ based on the Generic Surplus shoe box design. We also collaborated with local Los Angeles artists and artisans who created concrete geodesic planters, wine openers, lamps, and architectural pottery. The furniture and lighting was carefully selected from vintage warehouses and personal collections with the centerpiece being a 1967 gunmetal grey Fiat CinqueCento shipped directly from Italy (where we started our journey in shoemaking).

This pop-up shop was a huge success on many levels and allowed the public to view our brand in a 3 dimensional setting.
