Zane Landreth & the Klein

Having resided on both coasts (Seattle, Boston, New York, and currently Los Angeles), Zane Landreth's audiophile tendencies were honed and quickly cemented from day one. He ran his high school’s radio station, studied audio engineering in college, and then advanced onto the road as a sound engineer and tour manager for bands such as Bloc Party, Devendra Banhart, and The Bronx. After 8 years of non-stop touring, Zane settled in L.A. and took his love of music to the clubs, where he launched his own parties as both a DJ and promoter, spanning diverse genres. His most prominent and highly successful party, Killing Spree, has attracted a faithful crowd of dark, minimal synth/cold wave loving Angelenos since 2008.

Based on The Generic Man staple Grafton, the Klein is a classic yet minimal shoe that can be dressed up or down to go with any outfit or personal style. Arriving in charcoal grey wool, black full grain leather and earth pig suede, the Klein features leather piping and contrast welt stitching.

Describing his sound simply as “dark”, Zane here talks music and personal style with us at West Hollywood restaurant Dominicks, while wearing the charcoal grey wool version of the Klein.
